I’m surprised there hasn’t been any critical re-evaluation of “Sensual Seduction” (the edited title is better tbh). Felt ahead of its time.

Yep Armand Hammer album is great. What a run billy woods is on. Still think Brass is one of the best and most underrated albums from last year or really the past couple years.

Yeah, was just thinking that he’s been on a hell of a run. The two AH albums and his albums with Moor Mother and Kenny Segal are all solid as hell. He doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.

Never thought of that as a double album but looking at how long it is it makes sense. Did it ever come out in a physical form as a double album though? If not I can’t allow it lol

Not positive about physical but I know KRIT fully considers it a double album, he's going for two different sounds on each disc, and the first disc starts with a track titled after his rap name and the second starts with his real name

Plus iTunes has it as two discs

That’s good enough then, haha. It’s a good album but I personally wouldn’t rank it above any of those others. There aren’t too many great double albums that I can think of off the top of my head though so it’s probably close to the top five at least.

I think the definition of “double album” has been sort of muddled over the years, what do you look at CD data storage or how records are listed on streaming.

Like I’m fairly certain that the last A Tribe Called Quest record is a double album, but could easily fit on one CD, and is arguably shorter than a lot of bloated late 90s/early 2000s major label rap records.

I think that if there isn’t a physical release that is a double album, then it depends if it’s marketed as a double album. But it doesn’t really matter anyway unless we’re specifically ranking doubles albums.

What makes you say that about the Tribe album though? I happen to have the CD and it is indeed one disc. Did they market it as one?

huh, I didn’t realize that! It’s listed as a double album on Apple, that must have been what I was thinking of
