I was literally going through a mental checklist of the restaurants I miss earlier today, it's so sad. So many places closing still, going to lose so many by the time this is over

 

i probably wont even go to la until late 2021 and I can imagine the whole food scene will be different

 

Yeah that's wild, at least I'm kinda seeing it in progress, you're gonna have a stark difference when you come back

 

Here's my final list. I ranked it for the sake of the aggregate list. I took out Mariah Carey's "The Rarities" because it's a collection of unreleased songs rather than actual *new* material, so I figured I'd give its spot to a *real* 2020 album. It's still amazing though.

Just realised that the new Aesop Rock album hasn't even made it into my top 50 AOTY for all genres. It just hasn't clicked with me. Which is weird considering he's one of my favourite artists.

I'm listening to Purple Moonlight Pages right. I completely missed it until it won AOTY on the Dab Bod Rap Pod, which made me somewhat curious. He also joined them to talk about it and he said all the right things. Now that it is on our list too I decided to give it a shot. I like it. His rapping reminds me of some of the Living Legends guys.

 

He’s got a large discography if you want to dive in, but I think Moonlight Pages is my favorite.

 

Uzi at #1 is a nice surprise!
