Why does Machine Gun Kelly have a fucking album thread on here and why does it not have one response that says “really?”

 

And I can’t even get more than 2 people to look at a thread for stuff I know people would dig if they gave it a chance. It’s an uphill battle around here lately lol

I was JUST thinking this morning about MGK being posted on the front page news all the time, but so many other artists of color in his genre never get posted

 

It was also painfully obvious that Travis McCoy & Disashi from GCH are the only people of color from ANY of these 40+ old reviews that are getting re-posted. It could be argued that's more of an AP.net issue being carried over, but we know that not much has changed here.

He had Lil Jon on his first album before Lil Jon was deemed cool again, I kinda appreciated that, but ironically that was when people did not care about MGK like they do now lol

Started an album thread for City Morgue's TOXIC BOOGALOO.

As they are an up and coming "punk rap/horrorcore/trap metal/nu metal" duo, that is something that can at least attempt to bridge the gap between punk and hip hop around here.

 

I love rap rock mash up and samples though. Seems to be a fine line for me between good and bad.

I love some Ho99o9, so i'm not adverse to a bit of punk/hardcore mixed into hip hop. But i'm not sure they're gonna get many people too interested in what's going on in here. Happy to be proved wrong, though.
