DMX made hugely meaningful songs and certainly has some undeniable hits, but come on, nobody can go up against Snoop in a setting like this

 

I personally think Paid In Full is the ideal choice, because all the other artists arguably released better and bigger albums in the 90s, whereas Rakim arguably did not (though I do really like The Master)

 

Love this album but for whatever reason it's not on Spotify and I don't know if it's on Apple Music so it might be harder for people to listen and join the conversation. Certified classic though.

 

Most of De La Soul's catalog is being held hostage by Tommy Boy, it's a whole thing

Yeah, that whole situation is fucked. Fingers crossed it gets sorted soon.

Also agree with @williek311 that it might be a bit harder for those who haven't got it to listen to it. It must be on youtube, though.

 

People have uploaded the songs and put them on a playlist together on youtube, pretty easy to find. I listened to it for the first time a few months ago and truly loved it.
