Denzel Curry consistently has really great self-rapped/sung hooks

I think Gates is a very, very good rapper, but a lot of his music doesn't grab me at all, so I'm somewhere in the middle here

I think he's a great rapper and singer, only thing is his album can get a little repetitive

I'm not like a huge fan or anything, but some of his tracks are TRACKS (see: "2 Phones" above)

Man, the new Ka album is superb. Gonna be an AOTY, probably top 5.

    hey you lil piss baby

I don't know much about Armand Hammer (I think I listened to the last record once) but this tracklist is kinda insane. Pink Siifu? KeiyaA? Earl and Moor Mother on the same track? I'm hyped.

    What @cherrywaves said-- Section.80, XXX, and Live.Love.ASAP.

Not a difficult decision at all for me.

Also I'm excited to hear the backlash, but Lupe's Lasers is very underrated.

All Black Everything is a Top 10 Lupe track, the rest are enjoyable at least

I actually wouldn't put any of the songs on the album as part of his top 10, but agreed it's an enjoyable album. He admits it himself he put it out to energize his live set. The bar Lupe set with his first two records is impossibly high anyway (tho he exceeds this bar with Drogas Wave), so he wanted to release something fun/poppy.

Agree with this for sure. Might argue for Watch the Throne over A$AP, but I probably still listen to A$AP more. Cold Day in Hell is also great, but doesn't touch Section 80 or XXX, and Gibbs has better tapes in his discography.

2011 wasn’t a great year for hip hop. XXX is the only truly special album on that list. I’d take the albums by Hail Mary Mallon and Jehst from that year over all but one of that list.

Section 80 and A$AP are good, but both have some unnecessary filler.
