Those 2, Maxo Kream and Key Glock/Young Dolph are all I've been listening to lately.

Polo G album is so, so great. “Pop Out” is definitely song of the summer.

I went back to DaBaby’s album the other day and it’s also really good. I liked it quite a bit when it first dropped, but hearing him on the Chance record and in that XXL cypher really made me realize how talented he is.

Ja Rule announced an album for December. That doesn’t really mean anything coming from an artist from the Murder Inc. family, but he is currently building a studio, so maybe.

I’m still mad he and Ashanti never put out that song that leaked last year. It doesn’t make sense to me. Unless they couldn’t clear a sample or something.

DaBaby is pretty good, I was super hyped on him at the top of the year but I’ve started to notice that it’s just like the same flow every time. I hope he starts to switch it up more moving forward.

Pop Out is a bop. I'm stuck on Through Da Storm for some reason though.

My favorite is actually “Lost Files” but it’s got a way different energy than “Pop Out”. Not a bad song on the record though.

  16. I still listen to it, hoping that we'll see the day they finally announce the release date for that collaboration album... but it looks like it'll remain in the vault at this point :/

I think I'm gonna go through Rick Ross's albums in anticipation of the new one next week, I've never heard a full project of his

He has like two or three near perfect albums and at least a few classic songs on every album. You’re in for a ride.

Just out of interest, which ones would you consider near perfect?

With near perfect I mean straight bangers except for like two or three songs. Albums that didn’t leave my car stereo. I don’t mean near perfect as in perfect album-ass albums like Illmatic or whatever. But personally I adore “Rather You Than Me”, “God Forgives, I Don’t” and “Mastermind”. Though I do think all his albums are good. His consistency is underrated.

Teflon is a consensus best, most likely in part because it's not too overlong at 11 tracks
