Man Jay Electronica was supposed to take us to the promised land

 

Happy 5th Birthday to what might be the best rap album of the decade.

 

Dave album is very good.

Had a couple of the tracks from the new Da Baby album come on shuffle over the weekend. They sounded fantastic, so I’ll have to check it properly soon.

 

((I thought that 'My Krazy Life' was good but not great. Don't kill me plz))

 

I like Still Brazy more but My Krazy Life is still great

 

those first two albums were so great and that run of features he did was also super fun.

 

Stay Dangerous is the most disappointed I've been in an album in a a while

 

MKL was way more immediate for me and probably one of my most played albums of the decade, but once I got into Still Brazy, I thought it was as good, if not better. I don’t think I listened to Stay Dangerous more than once.

 

There's like 5 songs on SD that I really like but the rest is either meh or bad

 

That EP after SB was amazing too

 

Damn, forgot about that one. He did an EP after MKL too that has a track “2015 Flow” which I think is one of his most interesting.

 

I never thought I'd call a 2Chainz album boring, but here I am today, saying it about his new album.

 

The closer where he just raps about doing taxes for 4 minutes lmaoooo

 

Yeah it starts off pretty strong but is inconsistent. Pretty Girls was much better

 

There’s some good songs (“Money in the Way,” “NCAA”) but totally inconsistent

 

As the contrarian of this page of the thread, I really like the new 2Chainz and hope that he continues with this grown-ass-man trap sound in the future.

I like the Ari song

 

The Ariana Grande song reminds me so much like 00's rap/R&B collabs

 

New(ish) Chicago rapper. His sound fits in nicely with Chance, Saba, etc. Last release had features from Kweku Collins and Sen Morimoto. Playing Pitchfork Festival this summer.

 

2 Chainz album is fantastic
