Nelly and Fat Joe cancelled their concert here due to unforeseen circustmances(low ticket sales) and it just adds to the fact hip hop does not sell here unless it's like the lower tier acts.(Tyler The Creator, Denzel Curry, Lil Peep)

 

Unfortunately in 2018, Nelly and Fat Joe are the "lower tier" acts in most markets when compared to Lil Peep and Tyler.

 

Yeah true but with them and Jay Z both cancelling tours due to ticket sales "legacy acts" just seem to suck here which is disappointing.

Well, Jay Z should still have some kind of draw I would think, but apparently even he need Bey with him in order to sell tickets.

I agree. It's sad. I saw Ice Cube and Bun B a couple weeks ago and I got a pit ticket on Groupon for $20.

I think a lot of it has to do with the age of the audience. Lil Peep draws a young crowd that wants to go out to a show. Nelly's fans are mostly 30+, have kids, jobs, etc and don't go to shows as often.

 

I don't really know who this is, but damn this is sad.
