Can anyone explain to me any allegations/controversy regarding Ski Mask The Slump God?

I know he was friends with XXX, which alone is enough to make me question him, but I also heard that he tried to distance himself from XXX prior to X's death.

Did Ski Mask himself do anything unsavory I should know about?

i used to not want to check out ski because of that but idk. the whole guilt by association thing just mentally exhausts me and i ended up checking him out. he's extremely good but i understand why people wouldnt wanna listen because of the association.

 

He was accused of rape back in 2017. Did anything come of that?

 

I was in the same boat as you and kind of ignored him because of the association with X. But my cousin is in town visiting and she's a fan of his and he's playing a show here this weekend. We''ll probably wind up going, so I wantes to know what the deal was. I've listened to a couple of his tapes now and he's got some legit bangers. Would like more info on any rape allegations though.

i wish i understood why his fanbase is sooooo dedicated and ravenous. his early death contributed to the martyr image im sure but like is it just cause he was an example of lofi emo rap??

 

my local venue does like weekly dj tribute nights and this week they are doing emo rap and they are playing mostly x's stuff and people associated with him and I am like that is gross dont do it

 

This is not a defence of x in the slightest but to not understand why a generation of kids afflicted with mental health issues has gravitated to an artists who openly speaks about this stuff seems purposely obtuse.
