Cardi B album is really good, also loving Gucci Flip Flops.
Here in the UK we are having a problem with a massive increase in knife crime and more specifically inner city gang related knife crime. This has inevitably led to Rap music being tied to it with regards to glamorising violence. DJ Tim Westwood 'raking in money' from channel featuring violent gang videos
I have been very disappointed in Travis Barker recently, given he has a teenage daughter i really thought he would have been more against the current wave of rappers with very suspect actions against women. He doesnt need to specifically come out and condone it but certainly should not be actively promoting/featuring them.

To his benefit, he did fully acknowledge that he was wrong and made multiple tweets stating that he was. I don't agree with all his stances but still think he's p cool.

I was talking about Killer Mike, but anyone talking like "its cool to listen to abusers cause nothing matters" has an L to take as well.

You’re wayyyyyyyyyyyy too pressed cus I liked an album by a shit head. There’s a pretty high chance you and every other person in this world likes an artist who’s done something equally as shitty or more. Probably should just drop it at this point.

You keep deflecting everything to anyone besides yourself.

What anyone else does, does not matter.

YOU choose to give a platform to an abuser. The End.

That is a decision that you are obviously fine with, and we obviously won't change your mind.

I can say that despite my general (educated) opinion being that the art should be separated from the artist, in practice I don't really feel a desire to check out music by someone like Famous Dex. Like, it usually takes more than a lot of people saying it is "good" for me to check out something like that. I don't even have the time and energy to check out "good" albums by people I like beyond their artistic ability, so chances are very low that I'll be listening to an XXX album. "Good" isn't enough for me. I feel like if he or Dex would suddenly make the next All Eyez On Me, 12 Play, The Chronic or Capital Punishment, I'd probably hear out about it from people. Until then I'm perfectly content with not tuning in.

"hey everyone else has probably also done a shithead thing before, therefore my actionss don't matter. because other people have done shitty things in the past, I should keep doing shitty things currently, wait, I should be PROUD about doing shitty things, I should be defending shitheads with my dying breath because being an abuser is ok when more than one person has done it, no abuser should have to worry about facing any consequences. I'm a huge shithead."

I guess my feeling is when there's so much to listen to, and so little time to listen, why prioritise listening to a known abuser over someone that doesn't come with the baggage. God knows this genre still needs far greater support for non-male artists, go spend an hour checking them out instead of someone like xxx or dex.
