I looked this up earlier, when I forgot I already looked him up and forgot everything about him. It stands for like Nate Flannelsmith or something, its just his initials, could not be less interesting.

Yeesh, I forgot about his blatant biting, and those lyrics were so nothing he might as well have been scatting

Wait do we not like Mac Miller in this thread

His early stuff is eh but I love everything from Macadelic and on

Yeah I feel like Mac was a generic frat rapper and then really took time to get better and develop an actual sound

I thought K.I.D.S. was amusing but I really did not like his first album and some of the other mixtapes around that time. I like him a lot now though, he made some great albums I think, especially his last one.

I have some friends that are fairly prolific battle rappers (as in battle rap live in front of a crowd) and they always say that rapping fast sounds impressive but is actually very easy as far as rapping goes. I never rapped so I can't say but they're not the only people I have heard this from.

Yeah, its fairly simple, especially with verses written specifically to rap fast. When I was like first learning how to rap I would just try to go faster and faster, which wasn't hard to do but also wasn't interesting. Writing good interesting songs is way way harder, which is true of like any gimmick really, that's why they're gimmicks.

I might have mentioned this before but there is a local radio station that plays top 40 hits except any rap songs. They play Havana without Young Thug, they play OG Finesse without Cardi and they never played Bodak Yellow when it was a hit.

They try to play I'm The Only One so the way around it is by taking out Quavo and Lil Wayne verse. It is literally Justin Bieber chorus - Chance's verse heavily edited - JB chorus - JB ending. They even take out any ad-libs. It is amazing how much dedication to keeping it clean.

here's a song me and my friend made, our full length jazz hip hop album will be done after like two years but we made most of this in like twenty minutes
