See him live if you get a chance. He was incredible.

I don't particularly like Logic but he's got a few good songs. He has an ear for rhythm and you can tell he puts heart into his music, but he suffers from the "fast rapper without saying anything compelling/ending bars with the same word four to five times in a row for speed's sake alone" syndrome

He has some choice lyrics here and there but for the most part he's corny as hell imo

Yeah, Logic falls under good technical ability, bad songwriting. Nothing too original but fine for what he is.

Logic is less offensive to me than say G Eazy, or Hopsin, or even J Cole or some of the other guys he gets lumped in with.

I'm not really a fan, but he has a handful of songs that are "good" and a lot of stuff that's kinda corny. I guess his whole persona of being a gamer nerd kinda makes him seem like less of a legitimate rapper for some reason.

Logic has some great moments, and totally has potential overall, but I kinda feel like he doesn't his hit highs consistently enough

I mean the problem with anyone who has good technical ability but bad songwriting, which covers a lot of rappers, is that it just gets real old real quick. There's no deeper meaning to captivate anyone, he is what he is, which is very surface level and that's it.

I've seen so many "wow dude raps fast" videos that are very technically impressive, and they get views and people are like wow this is great in the comments, but the replay value is so so low, you can only be impressed once, and there's not a better song under that that anyone will want to listen to.

Logic isn't at that level, I've heard some potential from his stuff, but he's not too far removed from it.

No shade, but I feel like Logic fans aren't really hip hop fans.

The few people I know that are into Logic, are SUPER into Logic, but whenever I mention other rappers (even mainstream ones like Kendrick or Future) they are totally lost.

More people should be talking about 03 Greedo. The song with Yhung T.O. on the new tape is great.

  11. I like Logic. This new mixtape is fine for background listening, but it's pretty forgettable. His last album was bogged down by his insistence on creating a concept album. All the Neil deGrasse Tyson bits and narrative stuff distracted him from writing memorable songs. And ya, it was too long.

I know it seems ridiculous, but it's what I've experienced.

I think the guys I'm referring to may have gotten into Logic because of gaming so maybe that's why. It's strange.

I put on the new Keef tape and one of the first lines was "She don't wanna be saved. Project Pat already told ya."

So I stopped listening to Keef and now I'm listening to Mista Don't Play.

He's definitely one of those artists that people that don't listen to a lot of rap listen to. So is Kendrick though. The difference is Logic likes to play it up, implying his rap shows are "safer" compared to others and so on.

I don’t have anything to add about Logic that hasn’t already been said but add me to the list of people who are not about that.

I'm forever glad future has a line on Kings Dead that goes "la di da slob on my knob" just because of how absurd and hilarious it is.
