    Still A Threat Prestigious

I actually have been involved in this exact conversation on Twitter (started by a different tweet) a while ago so I have names ready to go, haha. I have no time to look up the album names but the following artists among others have three album runs that add up to like 14.5 out of 15 Mics: Mobb Deep, The Roots, Beastie Boys, Outkast, Kanye, UGK, maybe Jay Z, maybe Tribe, maybe Ice Cube, maybe Public Enemy, maybe T.I.

I've seen people say RUN DMC, Redman and Eric B. & Rakim and Gang Starr and I think there are arguments to be made there.

I'm convinced YG will make it.

and five years on i think its safe to say yeezus has been as influential to the overall direction of hip-hop as 808s was.

Oh absolutely. Maybe more subtly, as I don't think Yeezus has birthed anything the way 808s birthed Drake, but you can hear it. I think Big Fish Theory is the best example of an album that Yeezus paved the way for.

    I love Yeezus.

Stillmatic, The Lost Tapes, God’s Son.

I know The Lost Tapes is a compilation of B-sides, but it’s undeniably great.

Some of these are the albums I was thinking about when I made my artist list above

I really like Southerplayalistic but I'd probably go ATLiens-Aquemeni>Stankonia for Outkast

Yeah also valid. I think there's a few artists that have more than one option and Outkast is definitely one. Kanye and Beastie Boys too.

I really liked part 1, and now I fuck with Season 2 too...

I'd have to go 808s-MBDTF-Yeezus because all of them are better than Graduation, even though TCD-LD are better.
    ATLiens-Aquemini-Stankonia
    Illadelph Halflife-Things Fall Apart-Phrenology
Dedication 2 - Like Father Like Son - Drought 3
    Monster-Beast Mode-56 Nights
    Paul's Boutique-Check Your Head-Ill Communication
When This is Over-The Old Prince-TSOL
Barter 6-Slime Season-Slime Season 2 or Slime Season 3-Jeffery-Beautiful Thugger Girls
Ready to Die-Life After Death-Born Again

Jay-Z has too many stinkers for a decent run, but Blueprint-Blueprint2-Black would be it simply b/c of the first and last. For consistency, maybe Vol1-Vol2-Vol3? Idk none of them are as bad as BP2 is

    Vol. 3, Dynasty, Blueprint

That Biggie one with Born Again is a bold take. I like it.

Born Again isn't an amazing album but there's some bangers on there and the first two are good enough to overshadow 99% of other artists three combined

Life After Death being a double album should just count as two anyway and we're done

There's a lot of artists with either two album runs (LITTLE BROTHER) or a lot more than three great albums in total but never in a row

Some people say Eminen and the only way I can remotely get there is if I start with Infinite. I don't really like SSLP and MMLP but I can understand the love. The Eminem Show really isn't good at all I think. Some landmark Eminem songs, sure, but not a good album.
