Weekend 1 of Coachella, Nav brought out The Weeknd for a 3-4 song mini-set at the end of his own set, so when I went weekend 2 I figured I would go to the end of Nav's set just in case. I was 90% sure it wouldn't happen a second time, but I had no one else to see at that time. I caught the last 20 minutes of his set and it was really, truly terrible. No Weeknd either.

Is Bryson Tiller any good?

He's coming to town and Metro Boomin' is opening up. I'd really like to see Metro, but I dunno if it'd be worth it.

 

He's a pretty good R&B singer (or R&B rapper or whatever you want to call artists like him) but I have no idea how he's live. If it's not too expensive I'd go.

 

Probably not really my thing, if he leans more to the R&B side. I'll have to check out some of his stuff. Tickets are a little pricey ($50) so I may just skip it all together.

I was suuuuuper into this guys' stuff about a year ago. Phantoms is also really good. Dude needs to come out with a full project and put it on streaming

 

@suicidesaints I listened to the Delinquent Habits album and there is some good stuff on there. If you like the single I'd listen to it. It's definitely a worthy "comeback".

Right on. I'll listen to it in time. Still have Snoop, David Banner, Faith Evans/B.I.G., Gorilla Zoe, Lucki, Machine Gun Kelly, Montana of 300, Shabazz Palaces, Swet Shop Boys, Underachievers and Wale to get to too.

 

All the reviews of that Faith x Biggie album I have seen are bad but I still want to check it out. The person that reviewed it for Pitchfork also criticized Fat Joe and Remy for rapping "too hard" on their album however, so maybe the low score is a good sign.

I had no idea Gorilla Zoe has a new album out, I'll get on that.

I also want to check out the Career Crooks album, I've been hearing good things.

 

I'm not familiar with Career Crooks, but I'll add it to the list.

 

I'm listening to it right now and it's great. It's old school in the best way.

 

Was just listening to Shabazz Palaces yesterday for the first time. Pretty good stuff, reminds me of less melodic Smino in a way

 

Yesterday he just announced an album called "Subluxe" is coming June 9th. I'm hype!

 

New 21 Savage tonight? Possibly the debut album??

They just premiered it on OVO Sound radio last weekend though so I think it'll be the first single
