Mary J swapped out Kanye for ASAP Rocky for the video

 

Tried the Lil Yachty record and got about halfway through. No strong opinion really, just didn't catch my ear. I think he had a big opportunity with this album and he kinda blew it.

 

I mean the idea of a Lil Yachty album is kind of weird to begin with, he's very much a singles artist. I haven't heard it though, maybe it's cool.

I'm putting all my expectations into Uzi Vert, I love XOTourlifee more than anything I've heard from yachty

 

Yachty album is great

 

That's because mainstream rap is a Spotify genre now, Drake and Future really layed out this blueprint of maximizing streams (=sales) by releaseing long projects

 

Yeah I heard that reasoning

Am I the only one who still care about sequencing??

 

Undeground rappers do, as do big rappers that have fanbases that are more receptive (allegedly) to an album as a concept, like Cole, Kendrick, Kanye and so on, and of course rappers that don't care about sales anymore (again, Kanye) haha

 

Yacthy album is hit or miss for me. I like it but overall I think I preferred Lil Boat more. Although the highs on Teenage Emotions are better than anything on Lil Boat.

 

I heard a few songs off the Gucci album and it slaps.

I'll probably check the rest out tonight.

 

Excited for Gucci for the ride home today. Pretty sure I'm gonna love it.

hope we get new gorgeous children some day but in the mean time gila is fucking killing it with his solo shit

 

Yachty album is amazing, especially the back half. First four tracks is tue only place it kinda stumbles.
