But T-Pain is great and the I'm In Love With A Stripper Remix is forever a classic

Good to hear people seem to like it, I never ended up listening to the last one. 1999 just sort of seems like catching lightning in a bottle at this point

1999 is the only thing I've really heard from Joey that did anything for me. I listened to the new album but the ScHoolboy track was the only thing that stood out to me really. Maybe I'll give it another listen or two.

Its a great album albeit a little samey throughout, but the end is pretty fantastic. The features def add to the last few songs

The comments on this one are hilarious. Middle aged (often white) people trying to tell LL COOL J what "real rap" is supposed to be hahah

oh my god, I'm back on my bullshit Prestigious

White people talking about what "real rap" is is the most cringeworthy thing ever

I just tried playing a hip hop and mostly electronic/hip hop set in a grimy diy basement at 2 am and white people shut me down

It was fine, what made it stand out from other (dare I say sometimes better) golden era throwback rap at the time was that Joey was a young, "marketable" person, which means he was able to familiarize people with that sound more easily than some other artists

I like them fine, I don't listen to their stuff that often though I guess

I first heard devastated on the radio, I had no clue who it was. I found out it was Joey badass I was like whoa. I didn't expect that at all from what I was used to.
