this may be considered corny but I think it's dope as hell.

 

People have made fun of Macklemore for years while uplifting people like Kanye and XXX. I don't care if it's corny at least he's got a soul.

checked out the Larry June, Alchemist and 2 Chainz tape and it was really just ok some cool moments but even those beats didn’t stand up to the alchemist best

Permanent Ink was great and so was the one before it. Can't be mad.

 

The back half of that new Westside Gunn record is really good stuff.

 

These new Will Smith songs frustrate me. Everyone knows I’m a huge fan and it’s cool that he is rapping again, and he’s still sounds good too (and apparently has something to say again), but what’s with these beats and songs? I sort of get that he wants to be Big Willie, so he’s not going the LL route and make a backpack-ish album with Q-Tip (or, God forbid, DJ Jazzy Jeff), but it’s not like these new songs actually sound current either. They sound pretty dated. A throwback album honestly would sound fresher. Like I said, I am frustrated.

EDIT: I see he is touring though. People should try to go see him (and presumably Jazzy Jeff). They are really, really good live.
