    Got a light?

Yeah, I won’t listen to it and Like That still is in rotation for me and gets me hyped but it pains me to have to admit it was well done

Finally got around to We Don’t Trust You and it’s extremely fine. I probably did myself a disservice listening to this and 56 Nights b2b but this just feels like most of his post-2017 projects where it feels like some good tracks and a lot of autopilot

I actually don't think Drake did much in the way of dissing Kendrick, he really turned this more into a Rick Ross and Future/Metro feud than a Kendrick feud lol. Like it's decent in terms of Rick Ross and Future/Metro but all he said to Kendrick was "Ha ya short" and "I have more hits than you." The Maroon 5 and Taylor feature call outs are the only legitimately alright thing he said about Kendrick and those are both nearly a decade old now lol

He think he dealt with Kendrick by listing a number of reasons why he, unlike Drake, isn’t one of the three biggest rappers on the planet. The stuff about the others felt more personal lol

Also feels like the beef with future, Ross, metro, weeknd is all very real and personal the Kendrick thing is really just rap

I mean he mentioned Kendrick’s wife by name so there’s gotta be some personal beef to take it there

There’s also a shot at Travis too on the song

He also exposes that Kendrick has a shit deal and has been splitting 50/50 on his records with Top Dawg. Makes the “drop and give me 50” lines even better.

I mean, that's kind of a general artist-label thing though? It's not a particularly unique or especially biting line towards Kendrick, especially now that he's done with Top Dawg after Morale. But I suppose it's better than "TPAB put people to sleep" lol

I’ve heard TDE is not an artist friendly label I mean wasn’t SZA complaining a ton about them years ago

pretty sure Zay outright said the delays with his album were due to personal issues and Top was really supportive of him through it?

Huh, interesting. I feel like the voicemails he directly samples from on his albums say otherwise, but maybe I just don’t know the deets.

Now that this Drake song is out and it's heating up with Ross I can definitely see why Cole bowed out, he doesn't have any animosity with any of these people and it's clearly more personal between them than he thought it was

He probably should have never dropped 7 Minute Drill at all but I can respect the decision more now
