Kaytranda did a whole tape with Rome Fortune and I was excited to check it out since I love his production but it was just as meh as the Amine tape for me.

I guess it’s a tape full of Kaytranda beats but he’s not actually on it because he doesn’t promote the tape or anything what the heck

J Cole apologizing to Kendrick tonight at his festival is absolutely hilarious

I can see why he would think that way, they're friends (or were at least) and he very visibly did not want to do this

I also see why people think he looks weak for it though... I'm not sure he would have still made that speech/had that sentiment if the internet liked his response

If there’s one thing more lame than releasing a terrible diss track, it’s apologising for it a week later. Hilarious.

Oh yeah, it was only 2 days ago he released it. Even worse!

If anything, the apology gives Kendrick more ammo. Not that he's likely to release a response, he won before Cole even responded.

Besides, Kendrick's wasn't even really a diss, just a brag.

Kendrick also wasn’t REALLY coming for Cole in that verse like he was for Drake; Cole wasn’t the one who really needed to respond much anyway

Drake is the one who needs to put something on wax instead of writing corny Instagram captions

Who wants Drake diss songs though? Like, we couldn’t even trust that he wrote them, which disqualifies any diss track he puts out anyway. In a way IG captions are the more appropriate way for Drake to respond lol At least he obviously writes those

He’s backed himself into a corner where it’s a lose-lose proposition. If he responds with a diss track it won’t get taken seriously, if he doesn’t (like now), he gets made fun of. But it also really doesn’t matter.

    J. Cole releases a diss track on Friday
The public on Friday: ok; that's a weird ranking of Kendrick albums
    J. Cole on Sunday: man that was lame; I'm taking it off streaming services

Drakes best diss: My leftovers do bigger numbers than 3 of your albums...combined

That’s one of the funny things about the whole Big 3 thing.. Drake has been one of those three in terms of numbers consistently in the last couple (or more) of years, but actually the other two haven’t been lol

Drake just finished his 88 show tour this weekend. Wonder if something will come this week/ever

  25. One of my music leagues just had a boom-bap round, which was great. Based on research, it seems like that's defined as a certain sound defined by late-80s/early-90s East Coast stuff - I came across Nas, Mobb Deep, and KRS-One. Is it accurate to say some Griselda-adjacent artists would fit into the modern version of that category, if it still exists? Any boom-bap favorites, old-school or new?
