I'm contemplating revisiting Timbaland's Shock Value 1 & 2 just for kicks. I am near certain they were very much a product of their time, but maybe it would be fun to listen again

that was an "album"/experiment of 1 minute songs, this is her first legit album!

 

I'm interested but not super excited? I hope it surprises me. Whack World is a fun concept but only a few of the tracks I thing are any good. The 3 EPs and string of singles after it didn't really do much for me

 

line-for-line she's the best female rapper out right now. her bars are insane, particularly her freestyles. she could probably outrap most of anyone's favorites. she's also super creative so i'm sure there will be plenty of surprises on the album.

 

Not me remembering this exists the day we start the short songs round in music league. Fuck

 

without Whack World, we probably would've never gotten Earl's Some Rap Songs

I don’t agree with that. Earl hanging around with Mike, Navy Blue, Mavi etc is what got us Some Rap Songs. Unless he mentioned it in an interview or something, then I’ll keep quiet haha

 

Yeah those two records have very different moods and auras

 

Some yall shwoing your ass. Those eps she released are incredible and imo some of the best hip hop adjacent stuff I’ve heard. She really goes for it

Whack's stuff has been a little too novelty for me to have real lasting value, but I will still check this out

 

She’s got the talent to make a great album, I’m hyped to hear what she does
