94 Ghost Shit on the new alchemist/Conwey/Westside tape is great

  3. Whole tape is great. I guess it's a rerelease of. 2016 mixtape with some new tracks, but it was all new to me.

I'm listening to ...Pray for Me for the first time rn. that beat on "Suicide In Selfridges", fucking hell

doing H&N2 next, 3-4 of these songs are definitely familiar already

Hall & Nash 2 is cool, a little samey for me personally. Griselda and Alc is a combo I like in theory but in practice stuff like LULU has bored me

I disagree because the recent Earl album was kinda disappointing where H&N2 and LULU has its distinct feel/vibe. You can tell Alch is going back into his Prodigy production bag for the Griselda crew and it totally works for me.

Trippin… That Earl and Alc album goes crazy.

The best duo now is Boldy and Alc though, absolutely the best shit ever.

new Earl absolutely smokes anything else Alchemist has done recently for me. it's not even close. I feel like his beats are basically the same no matter what though lmao, the rappers are really what make them something. dude is a great producer but he's not particularly diverse

Idk I think it was moose or someone else who put me onto the Prodigy albums he did and they’re so different. The beats and samples are grimey yet futuristic. I feel he applies that same energy to the N&H2 but now you guys said it’s a re release so idk lol

Alchemist is versatile, it’s just that people want one specific version of him right now

It’s a small list, there’s going to be glaring omissions no matter what

I'm pretty surprised that the reception to And You Pray For Me was so negative, I loved it. feels like a worthy sequel to Pray for Paris to me, even if its a little long

  19. It's fun, I just don't think the consistency is there. Could have used a stronger editor. I wish the beats were more cohesive.

I think I kinda like that he just threw everything and the kitchen sink on there. it's like a victory lap for his "last" album even though it definitely won't be his last lol

There’s the official rap NYE anthem, I post it every year, haha

“Let hip-hop keep blazing the charts
May the past keep a warm spot in your heart
May the future hold more joy then pain”

Happy new year hip hop thread!

listening to Vaudeville Villain again, as usual baffled this isn't considered DOOM's best work. one of the best collections of beats in existence
