some crazy stuff on Anonymous Nobody. the song with David Byrne is some other shit lmao. never heard an album quite like it

 

that song just came on and I’m like what the hell lol it’s good but also so weird

 

that's not even the most of it, the Kickstarter version of the album has an extra song that's like a hip-hop parody of western films with a Sam Elliott type narrator. it's like trying to explain a fever dream lmao

 

So happy to have Anonymous Nobody on vinyl. Amazing, innovative album.

what a loss. And the sad thing is he won’t be remembered as he should by the masses bc De La’s discography has been mostly buried away from the public. Sucks.

I am checking out suicideboys since they are playing Coachella and I was mildly interested in their sound. I have to say the beats and samples they use are such a fun time but the vocals are just a little different than I’m used to.

I was checking out suicideboys and somehow that led me down a path to watching hip hop evolution and it was an episode on DJ Screw, Three 6 Mafia’s and Lil Jon’s influence on hip hop.

That then led me to listening to the first few three 6 mafia albums because it was described as like horror core or whatever that is and then checking out a bunch of different DJ Screw mixes. So good. I need more.

 

been listening to nothing except Nujabes this week. dude was talented on another level. the Luv (sic) series is absolutely breathtaking music at its finest
