I only saw the last 2 hours of the show so.....
    I feel like
    90 West Coast was underrepresnted
    00s sped up samples
    10s trap phase
    Atlanta outside of Outkast
the resurgence of West Coast hip hop

I will say I did like that they went heavy on the foundation of the genre in the 80s. That was awesome

It was said during the red carpet that Paramount plans to have more celebrations through the year so if something was not there that it will most likely later.

    Give me documentaries please.

And necessary too. I feel like 80s hip hop is dismissed way too often, but there’s a lot of good and obvs important stuff.

It’s wild how good so many still sound too, it’s a shame that they aren’t all huge legacy touring acts, fans and the industry are really doing old hip hop acts dirty

Fuck the Grammies though because they did all this but did not mention Gangsta Boo as part of the obituaries. They don’t give a fuck about hip hop.

Bangers? So he's releasing two albums and one isn't going to be produced by Hit-boy?

In all seriousness, Burden Of Proof is the Benny album I go back to the least and the production is one of the main reasons. All of Hit-boy's production is fine, but doesn't stand out in a crowd. Honestly can't remember one song off BOP.

More Plugs I Mets and Tana Talks please Benny.

It really fucking sucks. A whole new generation were about to find out the genius behind De La and he won’t get to feel the love. Fuck.

I was really excited to go through the De La discography in full for the first time once they hit streaming. I still am of course, but it'll feel different now. So sad, RIP

I just saw him make an appearance with Gorillaz a few months ago and he absolutely commanded the entire amphitheater during Feel Good, so much energy

super sad. having only just got familiar with their discography this year I could instantly tell why they're so acclaimed. some of the boldest and more unique hip-hop artists of their whole generation

and being in high school around that time his Feel Good Inc verse was absolutely canon. I didn't know shit about hip-hop yet but I and everyone else knew that verse front to back. a huge loss, RIP

Yeah. I was super excited to finally get into their discography so right now I’m just checking out And The Anonymous Nobody.. this song is really good.
