Yup Manger is incredible, probably in the top 3 I’ve heard. Much more intense listen, less of a “add songs to playlist” and more of a full experience but wow the production is insane.

Apple Music has a bunch of boiler rooms on there so I’ve been enjoying them all. Lunice had a boiler room and he played bodak yellow and it got me stupid hyped.

    cardi really the best

actually decently impressed with the Ab-Soul from last month. it's twenty minutes too long like all his stuff but the rapping and production is pretty great. definitely his best since Control System

Oh yeah. Saying that, you could name Metro Boomin’s biggest songs and I’d still be none the wiser :crylaugh:

so I'm finally plugging a massive hole in my hip-hop knowledge and listening to De La Soul. not having them on streaming was a huge barrier for my millennial ass but I finally gave in and just got their discography

only heard the first two albums and whaddyaknow, these guys are pretty good huh

Not listening to something because it’s not on streaming seems more like a zoomer problem than a millennial one tbh

I don’t think I ever checked out Aaliyah discography until it finally hit streaming services.

I'm pretty sure I'm a younger millennial and the line between us and zoomers is more semantics than anything else. generational lines are arbitrary

i figure i can familiarise myself first so when they go up on streaming i can act like i know everything and be insufferable to my friends

(also not sure if my region is gonna get them at the same time as y'all)

Been revisiting that Bad Meets Evil album from 2011. Too out of touch back then to recall public reception, but did people hype this when it dropped? Kind of gets buried when everyone ranks/recalls Em's eras

Yeah I think so. Not like regular Eminem albums, but Eminem fans were still hyped.

As a life-long Royce Da 5'9" fan, I was ecstatic when that album dropped. Also, Fast Lane did decent as a single and Lighters was absolutely enormous. The EP also debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Charts.

I was listening to Amine’s onepointfive and twopointfive and it’s just unfair how much more I like those albums than I do his actual releases.

he should be releasing an album this year so I’m still stoked.

fully intend to keep listening to De La Soul but all I want to listen to the last 2 days is Black Star

"Respiration" remix with Black Thought is maybe my favourite remix ever?
