    The spiciest meme

First off, wtf I didn't know new Little Simz was releasing today. Hot damn.

Second, why is Azealia Banks still getting coverage from Pitchfork in the year 2022

And lastly, I'll def third Crack Sandwich from JID. Whole album is a masterclass and Crack Sandwich is even more pinnacle.

    hey you lil piss baby

i don’t know what my favourite hip hop track of the year is but Ice Spice - “Munch” is definitely my most played, probably followed by something from the Bad Boy Chiller Crew record. DaBoii and Drakeo’s “The Deal” is definitely a contender too.

Glad to see someone else repping the Quadeca album. I don't even know if I would call it hip-hop but it's legit incredible

This is a great list overall btw. Still need to get to the new Little Simz but if it's anything like her last couple it'll definitely make my list. Incredibly hyped for Ab-Soul next week too. I'll post my list after listening to both of those

  11. Y’know after spending the day with it, I’m not going that crazy over this new Little Simz record. There’s nothing that I can put my finger on to dislike really, she’s rapping her ass off the whole time and I really dig the short tracklist/long song length approach. Her instrumentation remains pretty on point and she gives it room to shine. Something about it overall just isn’t gripping me as immediately as her others though. Gotta dive into the lyrics a bit

the last 3 tracks on new Simz are a bit of a falloff but it's otherwise absolutely incredible imo

Had you guys seen this? What he starts doing at around 1:18 was really awesome. You just know a lot of old (and often overlooked) rappers saw their numbers spike. Eminem is who he is, but he really, truly does love Hip Hop.

Finally listened to KD3. The last three Nas albums were good (sometimes great), but this one is better. Really, really nice.

What’s the best Mac Miller album? I’ve never really delved into his discography but I’m listening to KIDS currently and it’s pretty good. Is there a consensus best from him?

For me it’s the Divine Feminine

  22. Swimming, but the others that have been mentioned are close in quality. The Divine Feminine felt like a pretty big leap for him, and Faces is kind of an unwieldy masterpiece

    Swimming is unbelievably good.

Unfortunately was never really able to get into any of his other projects the way I was able to with Swimming.

    Fun must be always. Prestigious

I always stand by the divine feminine being his best but like I always hear faces or swimming as another top tier choice.

just the production on the divine feminine is so damn good.

Faces, Swimming and Circles are all perfect

if KIDS is where you're at though, maybe try Watching Movies next as it's kind of the transition point between his older party boy stuff and later experimental era. I think going straight from KIDS to like, Faces would be pretty jarring haha
