This is probably common knowledge but I am just now finding out - 25 years later- that Puff Daddy never got clearance from Sting for I'll Be Missing You. Sting sued and gets $2,000 PER DAY every day.

I’m about to check out this Danger Mouse and Black Thought album. I completely slept on it releasing but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

 

It's definitely good

 

Danger Mouse production makes me feel like I’m racing through traffic with how fast paced it is.

 

love that album. Aquamarine is one of my favourite cuts of the year

crazy how Thought just seems to get hungrier/better with time

 

Honestly when I was heavy into my Asher Roth this is how I discovered Black Thought and what a song by all of them. Everyone went in.

 

That Quavo post is absolutely fucking devastating. I'm surprisingly more fucked up about this than I thought I would be, I'm not even that big of a Migos fan

 

Yeah it got me pretty emotional as well, heartbreaking all around

 

I enjoyed that new black thought x danger mouse and then I decided to give that new redveil album.

It was really good also.

Benny, Conway, Kendrick, Pusha, and Earl are my top five. Really enjoying the recent Westside Gunn as well.

 

Two of the boldy projects are easy top 5-10

 

The album is really good otherwise, but this definitely soured the Boldy stuff for me this year. I should revisit the Rome Streetz album because I thought it was great aside from that Conductor tag

 

People telling me the new Nas is better than the last three albums, which all were pretty good
