I’m a huge fan of Drake’s album Take Care. I recently got into a Jamie XX phase and I just learned that the song take care was basically a re-work of Jamie XX’s song I’ll Take Care of U with Gil Scott-Heron.

this why I love sampling and especially in hip hop because I learned that and decided to check out that album also.

 

The Jamie xx album from 2015 is awesome, too

I never got the hate for Views, I really like that album. Even More Life is really good imo, although that's also when he started padding the shit out of all of his tracklists

Drake has been garbage since day one. He has not featured in one good song in his entire career and the fact he's so big is one of life's greatest mysteries. Hip hop historians in 50 years time will look back at Drake with mass confusion.

I also think he is mediocre at best however, his career is a bit of a mystery to me too, or at least the longevity

 

He’s really not great lol. But I guess he must’ve done something right somewhere along the way

 

I never got into Drake and due to the indications that he attempts to groom minors I'm okay with not liking his shit.

 

Fun fact: LL wrote Rock the Bells for the Peter Piper beat (hence the bells), but before he could record it, Rick Rubin gave the beat to Run-DMC.

 

"If You're Reading This, It's Too Late" is great even though he didn't use any apostrophes on the mixtape art
