where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

I mean there's always going to be fans of that style but currently it's not very popular. I mean the Kendrick album didn't stick in the mainstream consciousness that much.

I used to have Jay-z's Unplugged on CD and have listened to it a lot over time, but I just downloaded the full episode as it originally aired and it's just such a fun performance to watch. It was so wild at the time for someone like Jay-z to perform with a live band, and having The Roots as his band brings that much more to the performance.

Apparently this is going to be a 10 part series of EPs, each done by a different producer. Could be really cool

I think that was more due to the album itself than the mainstreams interest in, uh, conscious rap, or lyrical rap, or whatever you wanna call it

You should check this one out. LL, De La and Tribe unplugged in 1991. It's very highly regarded, especially LL's set.

Anyone check out the Phife Dawg album that dropped a few months ago? It's actually really good, a lot more complete sounding than I was expecting.

It also has me revisiting Tribe... I honestly think I've come to the conclusion that We've Got It From Here is their best album, I'm sorry

I haven't listened to it yet but based on the singles and the stories around it I knew it would be good. Looking forward to it.
