Actually never could get into Snappin’ and Trappin’ or We Luv Deez Hoes. Probably some of my least favorite rap-heavy Outkast songs.
If I was just playing my favourites off the album, Snappin' & Trappin' would be skipped. Also, when I was younger, I never listened to album all the way through. This is one of those albums because I was listening to it all the way through the other day and I barely remembered anything after Humble Mumble!
Sometimes I dig up old albums I remember loving and while listening I realize that I only ever loved like five songs and skipped the rest. That’s fine though lol
That beat is dirty as hell which I can appreciate, but that combined with the content of Mike's verses, the distorted hook, and J Sweet's outro, shit is just way too aggressive for me. Figure that's the appeal though.
Didn't know this thread series was a thing, very cool! Few things pump me up like the beginning of "Gasoline Dreams." Not a very substantive contribution to the thread but that's the first thing I think of when I think of this record
Really liked this, especially the run from Snappin and Trappin to We Luv Deez Hoez. I know I’ve listened through their discography before but it’s been a while and I need to dive in deeper
Favorite tracks: Gasoline Dreams, I Call B4 I Cum, Gangsta Shit, B.O.B. what OutKast album should I listen to next?
