It’s ok

I miss when this band sounded like Leeway

 

Its pretty good but I'm not like blown away or anything. I like the change in production. It adds some weight to the sound which works well for them. Does sound like more is on the horizon though:

Sounds like Finch. I'm here for it.

 

Good call, I hear major Finch vibes. However, the song doesn’t do much for me.

 

I miss the Snapcase vibes already.

Hopefully, that’s not gone completely on the new record.

 

Good read for sure but that interview made me nervous that their hardcore sound is going away for good which kind of sucks.

 

Yeah aside from the main riff, meh. Definitely hear the Finch influence.

They are signed to a big label now and want to branch out. Can’t blame them. Digging the track.

This I know. Code Orange put out two albums on the same label before REALLY mixing up the formula.

 

Spoke to Jimmy last week on IG and he mentioned that he’s hoping to record the new record next month. It also looks like Louis rejoined as well which is awesome.

I have a feeling they took another year to write more and with Louis back in the fray - this can only be good news IMO

 

kinda surprised to learn they dont have a full LP recorded already. I was somewhat expecting them to drop more songs this year after Fall From Grace came out end of '21.

 

Same but I think I remember them saying they chose to go on tour some more before entering the studio and that tour was with Alexisonfire.

So between that and Louis re-entering the fold? I think we’re going to get a heavier record than originally intended and if so? BLESS

Really looking forward to whatever this band releases next

 

I’m excited but I’m also pretty sure this single/new album is not going to be nearly as heavy as 27 Miles Underwater is.. and that’s a low key bummer.

 

I am going to be so bummed if the album sounds like that last single

 

I liked Fall From Grace, but 27 Miles Underwater was the sweet spot for me. Either way, looking forward to hearing new stuff

 

Man, I loved Fall From Grace so to get anything after they ghosted us last time feels like a miracle. I’m ready for it!

 

If I was a betting man - I would bet that they rewrote/re-recorded the record once Louis came back to the band which caused the long period of time it’s been since Fall From Grace.

IIRC they pretty much had a record close to complete (and that was in early 2022 lol) but then went back to the studio with Louis after the fact (which their IG showed just that).

 

At this point Im here for whatever they got, just happy they're getting the ball rolling
