I’m gonna be in the minority on this but my knee jerk reaction is that I didn’t like it. Had a lot of potential but ultimately was too weird for its own good.

Interesting. I absolutely loved it. I saw it a second time today and I found it a lot less inscrutable.

I adored this but I wish it didn't feel the need to so deliberately eschew from a more traditional plot, the flow just feels off until we finally catch up to the present

This was... interesting. The first thing I've seen from Denis, but I may have to check out her other work.

  12. This was good. Didn't love it, but it's stuck with me since I saw it. Robert Pattinson continues to be one of the most interesting actors in recent years.

that black hole scene was wild i’ve always wanted to see that in a movie and i think they did a great job

still not really sure what to think about this, it just goes from 0 to 100 very sporadically and is very very dark.

I really liked this but I can’t say I was necessarily wowed by it. Perhaps I went in with too high of expectations.

What do y’all think of the ending?

I think it was bleak yet hopeful, sort of mirroring the situation we find ourselves in with global climate catastrophe on the rise. Kind of have no choice but to sail right thru.

I really enjoyed this, but I feel like I would've loved it more if there weren't like three other people in the audience. Ah well

It is kind of incredible that anyone gave her money for this.

The film presents a lot of interesting ideas about how isolation and hopelessness inevitably degrades the mind. Like almost all Denis films, it is more about moods and images than plot cohesion, and the girl getting obliterated by the black hole is certainly one of her more memorable scenes.

Finally got around to seeing this and I loved it. A lot of great stuff visually and I loved the score too, especially in the more intense scenes.
