I was actually planning on seeing it tonight (I NEVER go to opening nights, hate crowds) but it's in our smallest auditorium (90 seats) and that's probably going to sell out. Bummed, I can't imagine I'll make through tomorrow without spoilers

 

You must have a much different market than I do. This is gonna bomb where I’m at lol

About to see this now and I know nothing about it

 

aside from the first trailer (that I've already forgotten most of) I don't know any plot details about this movie and it's got me so stoked

 

What did you think of it?

 

I really enjoyed it, but I also need to see it again before I can formulate all my thoughts on it. It warrants a rewatch.

Toni Collette is incredible though.

OH MY GOD. I have so many feelings. I loved it so much and I survived. It’s super super messed up but not like unwatachably so.

I really need to see it about a million more times and also talk about it without worrying about spoilers.

I will say that I kind of called one of the biggest plot points and I’m super proud of myself because I don’t think it was really obvious.


And shoutout to the person in my showing who said, “Oh nooooooo,” in the funniest voice unintentionally at one scene and lightened the mood.

 

I’m going to take a stab at The Wicker Man after first watch.

Yeah, for sure. There was one shot in particular that really called that out to me. I think I’ve seen some comparisons to it already, but I’m not going to rewatch that to see if there are more.

Oh yeah it reminded me of Psycho. Not on plot, but in structure. We’re lead to believe Charlie will be the main focus of the film and then she’s axed right away lol

 

Honestly my favorite thing may have been the end song because it’s one of my favorites ever and it has some really poetic and fitting ties to the theme despite being basically ridiculous on the surface.
