Sophie Thatcher is becoming an “I’ll give just about anything they’re in a chance” actor for me. She’s just so good in everything and seems to have solid taste in projects. A few of the Yellowjackets young cast are getting into that category for me
I got a ticket to the cool indie theater for this tomorrow but might be seeing Anthony Green for free instead. Can’t get a refund for the movie ticket tho.
Almost went last night but hesitated long enough to sit it out. I get that it will absolutely be a case of style over substance but the reviews calling it dull and boring or hard to sit through are concerning. I don't mind slow if it's in the vein of like a giallo mystery (I saw one review draw that kind of comparison) but I fear this may be something else.
My theater was mostly full, only 3 walkouts (all together) and one guy behind me as I was leaving said "I think that was the worst movie I've ever seen in my life" I don't think it's meaningfully worse than any of his post Drive output but it's not better than any of it either
