I've been going by the TBA on the thread title , so I didn't even know this was about to be released lol

I kept thinking "Why are they releasing half of the album as singles when the release date isn't even in sight?"

 

Same here! Had no idea it was out this week, haha.

 

Hot damn, "Put it Out" is awesome.

 

I'm just excited to be able to clear out the 3,479 singles cluttering my phone

 

Okay hang on is this version of the title track like massively different than the single version we got earlier? Or am I just going crazy?

 

Yeah it’s definitely different. I thought I was gonna like it more when it starts with that bass, but I prefer the original version.

Really happy the songs that weren’t pre released are just as good, if not better than some of the others. Put It Out is great.

Maybe it’s just a case of demoitis, but I’m really not sold on the new mix/structuring of the title track.

Liking the record on my first listen though! Can already see it having a lot of replay value.

 

This is the album we always needed from Hellogoodbye but never realized we would get.

So good.

That being said, I agree that the original version of the title track is much better.

 

I think I like the fancy outfit versions of sonly natural and expensive heart more, but i get wanting to keep the album length down. maybe would have thrown those in a cut one of the slow tracks on second half but thats just me

 

Holy shit this is SO funky.

 

Close reminds me of T. Swift's Delicate. I mean it as a compliment.

 

Oh Put It Out sounds like a 1975 song, that's why y'all love it so much.

 

It reminds me more of one of the remix versions. I like the longer intro a lot. Gives me Michael Jackson vibes.

This is good but its nowhere near end of the year good. A nice change of pace album but i cannot imagine returning to this esp in the fall.

 

I like this, it's a fine direction for him. EID was huge for me. Can't believe five years have gone by.

 

Totally wasn't expecting this when I listened to it this morning. What an album! I'll Keep Following You is a standout for me. The whole album is full of songs I wouldn't expect FK to write but I guess everyone's evolved since the '06 release

 

I really dig this too. Easily jumped to one of my favorites of the year and surprisingly fitting as a fall album.

Expensive Heart is like a more subdued Panic song and I love the album version of the title track. Glad I didn’t listen to the pre-release tracks too much.
