Yeah it was...two years ago? Something like that. Really love Tainted and Halcyon from that album but the whole thing is great. The album is called I Feel Like I'm Becoming A Ghost. Edit: just checked, it was 3 years, sorry
Halcyon is one of my favorite The Sleeping songs. The Held album has taken a few listens to start hearing the unique elements of each track but there is nothing I don't like on it. Last 2 tracks especially stand out.
Halcyon is by far one of their best. It's so fucking good. It was my favorite to see live. Just killer all around.
Yeah it’s Doug’s voice that initially drew me to The Sleeping’s music back in the day. I remember thinking he reminded me of Tim from Rise Against.
Giving it another listen and for some reason, I get stuck on Waves Of Fire. I hear both Blindside (chorus) and From Autumn To Ashes (verses) vibes, which I’m a sucker for!
Randomly came across this from an Instagram ad and fell in love with it instantly. I'm not familiar with The Sleeping or NV but this is really clicking for me. I get hints of Thursday, Sing the Sorrow AFI (Through the Cracks chorus sounds like TLSP2), & Thrice.
This. It's new to me but hits a lot of the things I like about post hardcore and leaves out a lot of what I don't.
Interesting insights on all the album tracks on this one https://www.altpress.com/held-grey-song-breakdown/
