I'm not sure if the person is an ex since they have a fair amount of songs about getting away from toxic friendships. Apparently he wrote the song from the perspective of the person harassing him.

Dude seems like such a dweeb. A fan also commented on having her butt grabbed during the show and his response was “people like that need to stop coming to shows and start killing themselves”. I’m obviously against the things that are happening to him/fans, but the responses seem rather extreme and encouraging suicide is definitely an awful look.

 

Just to be clear, he was publicly sexually assaulted on stage, and you’re calling him a dweeb because of his reaction to being publicly sexually assaulted on stage. How do you think he should react?

 

Probably by not telling someone to kill themself idk that’s just me though!

 

I’m more so telling people to go kill themselves which falls in line with his dumbass edgelord online persona. Not a good look and yeah, not something I condone.

 

I think being sexually assaulted is awful obviously and so is having people touch you at shows (regarding the fan whose butt was grabbed) but his immediate thought to inflict violence or suggest violence, coupled with his love for guns is…I dunno. I empathize with wanting to protect yourself and your fans and not wanting anything to happen to you or them but I don’t know if the way he handles some of these things is appropriate. Maybe I’m wrong though, just my two cents.

 

sexual assault often makes people want to kill themselves so I've always been conflicted about that kind of response, especially when it's coming from a victim. sexual assault is violence so it's not that crazy for someone to see violence inflicted on an abuser as justice.

 

I'm pretty annoyed that Arm's Length toured with these guys. I left after Super American played.
