I'm going to be honest I'm kind of addicted to both of these songs and I've never listened to them all that much before. Stick Up gets in my head all the time
I don’t really need to add my thoughts to this thread but it’s definitely the gun thing that rubs me the wrong way. I can deal with dumb edgelord shit, For Your Health and Home is Where for example don’t bother me nearly as much. But this dude is constantly posting selfies with guns, and implying that he brings them to shows and such, and it makes me super uncomfortable.
i have ultimately decided I don't mind the social stuff that much anymore. it has toned back and I've been fine with the follow for a couple years, but everyone has their own line
Checked this out wanting to like it based off all the comments on the New Album post, but the lyrics are so distractingly stupid on this I can’t ever find myself reaching for this again. And I forgot how much the social media presence of this band is such a turnoff.
Yeah, I made it four songs, read through the lyrics on some of the other tracks (yikes), and shut it off. Easy to pass. Songs weren't doing it for me anyway.
Yeah this is pretty bad. Lyrics are bad and Stick Up is especially cringe. If I want fun, cheesy pop punk I’ll go listen to Seaway instead of this garbage.
I wanna like this song but knowing this band and their whole thing those lyrics are probably about an ex and… yeah, not great lol
I dunno, that reads to me like it’s still about an ex and he’s trying to justify why he wrote a song about fantasizing about killing them. If someone treated him that poorly, that obviously sucks, but no matter the context I still think it’s super not cool to write a song about killing a woman Maybe I’m wrong, but a response could have very easily cleared up the concern, and it didn’t…
The defend pop punk logo has always been stupid and this band is so fucking dumb. Insufferable morons and the music isn’t even enjoyable. Easily the worst band to come out of the scene the last ten years. I honestly have no idea how they gained any sort of popularity. They have maybe one or two catchy songs but most of their stuff is watered down versions of sounds that other bands do so much better.
It certainly doesn’t help his case that he spent a whole day complaining and RT-ing complaints about someone not getting it.
I think this band has some good, catchy songs. Pitch Black in particular absolutely slaps. But the lyrics are… not good.
