Honestly, I don’t really eat breakfast. Not intentionally really. It’s just that I’ll wake up and go to the gym and by the time I’m back it’s basically lunch time. I’m probably eating two meals a day. yeah, eggs can get super boring. But if you have the time, making a bomb ass omelette can be a nice change of pace
i get hunger pangs/growling if I don't eat something in the morning. Usually I just eat a banana or something on weekdays, weekends I have oatmeal or a smoothie bowl
I never eat breakfast during the week. I get to work around 8 a.m. and have two 16-oz coffees which usually keeps my appetite down until after I take my lunch break at the gym - so my first meal isn't typically until like 1:30 during the week and then I'll eat dinner between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. So, I really only eat twice a day. Weekends are a whole other story...
I have to eat breakfast now or my stomach grumbles embarrassingly loud or I get migraines. I usually eat oatmeal if I have time. Used to do fruit and Greek yogurt. If I'm in a hurry I grab a protein drink and protein bar with low sugar and stuff, or a piece of fruit. I basically always keep a snack in my purse cause the migraine thing.
Oatmeal and black tea are basically all I have for breakfast ever since I changed my diet a few years ago. Some times toast.
Oh man I NEED breakfast, basically to function as a regular person. I get to work around 7, I usually have downtime around 7:30/8ish, so I bring oatmeal, hard boiled egg, and Greek yogurt with me. Sometimes I bring those protein packs instead of oatmeal if I don’t feel like having it one day.
same. i need to eat to eat breakfast. my new schedule is: gym 4-6 am work 7-6 pm whatever 6-10ish sleep 10-4 am but even when i worked out at night, i would never miss breakfast. even if it was fast food shit, i would need something otherwise by 8:15 i would be miserable. usually go with three eggs, almond milk and a cup of regular cheerios
It’s crazy how much working out affects my mood, I use Monday’s as my rest days just because I like to get ready for the work week Monday evenings, but man I was in such a dumpster mood at work most of the day, I will have to rethink my rest days, haha.
I work out every day unless something comes up, and I think it may be too much. I noticed after I didnt go to the gym for a while I felt more motivated but now that I've gone consistently since I'm all meh again. But I love the feeling after a workout. I'm gonna take tomorrow and Friday off so we'll see if that helps motivation.
It’s a super awesome feeling to walk out of the gym and see the sun just starting to rise yet it’s light enough to know the day is starting (and not ending) and know that I just did a bunch of physical activity. Gotta get it engrained in my system so that when winter comes I don’t stop going because it’s fucking -20 and pitch black
I was doing so well with the gym this year. I just started a new job though so the last 2 weeks have been tough. I have been getting out closer to 5pm, instead of 3pm like I had at my old job. By the time I get home I have no motivation to go back out. I’m either gonna have to switch to mornings, or just bring my bag with me and go straight from work. I really want to stay focused through the rest of the summer so I just have to make this new schedule work.
I have no idea how people can go right after work (talking 5ish). At the end of the work day I’m drained and in no mood to cram into the gym with a bunch of people. I need like a 60 minute breather after work. For me it’s either early morning or late at night. I get the appeal of going right after work, but the few times I tried that it just ruined my mindset and I wasn’t focused on what I was doing I was too distracted by the people and second guessing myself.
If your schedule allows, lunchtime is the best time to go for me. Luckily, im able to take long extended lunch breaks and I’m not a morning person so I can’t go before work and after a full day of work, I’m too burnt out to go. For years, I would wait until after work but made the switch to lunchtime about 5 years ago and never looked back.
I go an hour or two after work. Right after work is so crowded. And I'm not a morning person. I generally work out longer than a lunch break allows and I would have to take my makeup off and put my bangs back in the middle of the day and meh too much trouble
I was a hot mess at the gym tonight lol. I usually do cardio and then strength and toning stuff. I decided to switch it around and do strength first and idk why lol because I hate cardio and need that idea of "earning" the strength stuff by completing it. I guess I hoped the adrenaline from the strength stuff would help me out but instead I did all this ab work and then went on the elliptical for 8 minutes and gave myself a stomach cramp and thought I was gonna puke lol. I haaaaaaaaaaaaate cardio
I want to try this, just seems so bothersome. I want to work out during my lunch break, but changing twice, showering, etc. seems tiresome. I just need to get over that part and do it, I'd work out a whole lot more if I did.
Honestly, that’s why it took me so long to make the switch but once you get used to it it’s no big deal.
I've never been a morning person so sweating right after getting up does not appeal to me in the slightest and I feel like I'd wanna puke exerting more energy than necessary before 8am. Going right after work is perfect for me since I use it as my 'me' time to decompress and not look at social media or anything after a long work day. I also started going straight from the office rather than going home which always used to throw off my focus/determination but now I get kind of excited to head to the gym at the end of the day.
I really wish I could do my shorter runs before work since I am training for a marathon, but I have to be at work at 7 and it's a 40 minute train ride in. I've gotten better at going to bed at 10 instead of midnight but running at 5AM is too daunting.
I used to strictly work out between like 11pm and 1am. Now there is a gym right by my house, but the hours fucking suck so I have to go at like 9-10am or else I’m just not gonna be able to hit the gym, which sucks but oh well J guess
I usually go to the gym on my days off at noon twice a week, and then at 10pm twice a week after work .
I need to go to the gym after work. I've become a fitness nut over the years and sitting at a desk for 9 hours makes me feel so down.
