Y'all I swear to god she knew I was going to go to the gym today but didn't (to be fair for dirty laundry reasons not lack of motivation reasons) and posted this to shame me.
Alright, now that i've had several weeks/months in a row of visitors and copious amounts of beer and bar food ingested, I'm serious about getting back on my diet and running plan. I haven't been running consistently in months so I'm gonna try and start tonight at 2.25 miles and add a .25 miles every other day. Once our new gym opens up at the end of May, I'll be going back to my lifting routine as well. Here's what I have planned out for my diet going forward. I need to cut out creamer.
I keep going back and forth with eating. I'll do really well and then have a week where a bunch of people invite me to lunch or my depression acts up so I barely eat all day and when I do it's throwing off my metabolism and blegh. I've also hit the age where my metabolism starts failing me and I need to do a lifestyle change. Still, I never thought I ate that badly until I'm actively trying to lose 5-10 pounds and it's not happening. I'm hoping it's stress related and once I get things figured out and can go to the gym regularly and afford some healthier options it'll be better. But who knows. Not in an optimistic mood today lol
I tried to steal some of Brit's gym moves today but I was painfully graceless and uncoordinated. I shall try again tomorrow.
Ok. Yesterday I tried again to do Britney's gym moves and I rly tried harder to use the kettleballs and O M G those things kicked my butt. I'm so sore. Doesn't help that my working out has been sporadic so I'm all out of sorts. It hurts to move and exist.
I typically go to the gym 3x a week, but I'm noticing something weird about my body. I actually find myself losing weight the more I DON'T go to the gym. I've only been to the gym four times this month due to a hectic schedule and today I weighed myself and was 181.5, which is by far the lowest I've weighed in years (I'm 6'1"). I'm typically between 186-192 area (my weight fluctuates a lot). I think it's all psychological. When I do go to the gym, I feel I can eat/drink whatever I want knowing I'll just burn the calories the next day or whatever. But when I know I can't get to the gym, I'm super cautious of what I put in my body. I've been eating really light this month just knowing I can't get to the gym as often.
I'll usually drop a little (maybe 2-3 lbs) if I stop going to the gym for a week or more. I'm pretty sure its due to letting your muscles/body rest, which reduces the fluid build up in your muscles after hard workouts. I also do a lot of power lifting at heavy-ish weights so I'm tearing my muscles constantly
How am I gonna find time to work out with my new job. I wake up at 6:30, work 8-5, pick up my daughter at 6.
When I worked 8-5 and 6-10 for a year I had to be at the gym by 5:45 if I wanted to work out. But you probably don’t wanna do that haha.
Yeah it's hard enough getting up when I do. Then after work i pick up Aeryn and I have to make dinner and oversee her nighttime routine and by the time that's done I really don't want to leave the house. But maybe that's what I have to do. Or else just work out on the day's I don't have her and the weekends, which is a pretty inconsistent schedule I was working out every day until this
When i worked out at home I did fitness blender videos. I liked them because I had no equipment and they had a lot of equipment free videos. They have them on YouTube but I liked their own site cause I could make a calendar of workouts and keep track. I may start doing that again when I can't get to the gym cause no car
She's not very interested in trying things like that. I brought her to yoga a couple times and she would rather sit alone than join in.
My gym has some ceiling tiles missing with buckets underneath to catch the water. If u go on a certain machine water will drop from the ceiling onto ur face
nah not around here. All we have is Planet Fitness, Fitness Revolution, Blast Fitness and GB3(local high end gym)
It's one of the more expensive gyms too like y'all can't get that fixed??? I went yesterday and none of the ellipticals were working so I went on the treadmill and then I put headphones on and as i was showing a friend a dramatic reenactment of attractive ppl who run on treadmills and look effortless I wacked the headphone cord and my phone flew onto the treadmill and onto the ground smh
