  1. Also, has anyone tried the Enlightened or Halo ice cream? It's about 75% as good as regular ice cream but an entire pint is like 320 calories.

It can be pretty overwhelming finding a solid workout routine considering there is so much information out there, and I'm still trying to figure out what exactly works for me. With that said, last year I followed this workout and I started getting really cut and was definitely in the best shape I have ever been in. I didn't do their diet though I did my own thing and I also added cardio into almost every workout. Just figured I'd post it in case anyone else wants to work out and doesn't know where to start. It's pretty basic.

Also, what worked for me was cutting out all processed sugar and limited my intake of white bread and other empty carbs. I didn't watch calories or anything like that.

I'm down to 203 and I feel like losing these last like ten pounds to get below 200 for the first time in forever is taking ages.

I'm going to look into this. I've been hitting the gym pretty regularly for the last month and a half or so, and while I feel better, I don't see a visible difference as far as muscle gains (arms specifically). But I've really only used machines. Thanks for posting.

How much of a time commitment is that routine?

    An hour of lifting? Two?

An hour. Typically do 4 different types of workouts. Then do those three times.

So like, bench, shoulder, tricep, and a lap pull down for example.

I'm usually in the gym for about an hour plus time for cardio, but I feel like I work very slowly. If you don't get distracted it can easily be an hour.

Thanks. I pretty much loathe lifting so to get to 45 minutes (what i did today) is rough. I like those combos, it just looked like an insane amount of time when considering reps.

I've been doing the keto diet for 2 weeks now with amazing results.

The "keto flu" was a really gnarly experience but since it passed, I feel amazing.

I started my juice cleanse to flush toxics out of my body cause I have been drinking so much lately and eating like crap. It's been nearly a week and apparently I've lost about 10 pounds too which is a nice bonus, most of that being water weight I'm sure. Excited to eat solid foods again though. Two more days.

Exactly what I've been doing for the past 2 months, it's been a really awesome experience. Like I said I feel better than I have in years, and I'm back in the normal weight range for my height for the first tine since high school.

Hell yeah. My sisters wedding is next month and my pants didn't fit (they're 32 waist) and nothing else was working, even with every day cardio. After 2 weeks I literally went from a 36-38 waist size to being able to fit into those pants haha. And that's with bulletproof coffee for breakfast and usually 2-3 cheeseburgers with no bun for lunch.

I feel great. It's pretty incredible.

I feel like I should hop on the keto train or at least do very low carb. After doing a juice cleanse the thought of being able to eat anything at all seems glorious. Are you working out as well? Besides cardio, I mean. The thing is I wanna get toned but I also wanna bulk up.

Have not done any exercise on this diet yet, once I hit my ideal weight I'll start trying to tone up a bit. It's looking more and more like this will be a permanent lifestyle change for me, though. The benefits are just too good for me to give up, it's helped a lot with my mental health as well.

Isn't the Keto diet super dangerous or am I thinking of something else?

There are a lot of misconceptions about it as it pretty much goes against what a lot of us were taught about nutrition. If you want to learn more I'd suggest reading this: A Ketogenic Diet for Beginners - Diet Doctor

My doctors office has one of those apps that displays ur info from ur appointments and I went on it today. Watching my weight steadily increase every year for the last 5 years has put me in a panic tbh! The annoying part is that I don't think it would take a lot to lose it. If I just made a little bit of an effort I think it'd come off fairly easily but eating is such a social thing and I use it for comfort too much. I'm trying to do better tho. Like I almost got fast food today just cause I felt lazy and wanted a soda, but I decided not to cause I'm going to a bachelorette party this weekend where I'm gonna be eating out. I don't want to restrict myself from all the good things, but I need to be better about eating out cause I want to not cause I'm invited to or am feeling lazy.

  19. Do you use a calorie tracking app at all? CICO is the most basic foundation for weight loss and it's the easiest way to do it

I tend to get a lil disordered when I track numbers. I have a past of disordered eating, and even tho the peak of it was nearly 10 years ago it likes to slip it's way in sometimes. I've only tried myfitnesspal but both times I had to delete it after a few weeks cause I was going a lil too hard. Like even tho it discourages eating too few calories I'd feel triumphant when i did and would try to get it lower and lower under the recommended limit. I get real obsessive and unhealthy when I track like that. I eat pretty healthy at home. it's the eating out that screws me up so I'm gonna try to be better with that and also try to be more active. I walked to work yesterday and plan on walking more instead of taking my car places. Also trying to take the stairs more.

But then I'm like ugh I'm going on vacation for two weeks later this month so who know what will happen then lol

Just did day one of that Thor workout. That hits nicely and can be done in 40 minutes if you superset two of the exercises. Thanks for posting it.

Down five pounds in two weeks of Whole30. At this point, it's not really about the number on the scale. It's way more aesthetic and health-focused. Kind of refreshing to be approaching the gym and diet in a new mindset other than "lose 20."
