Yes, that actually just happened to me this morning. 1st weigh in: 207lbs, 2nd weigh in: 203.4lbs. 3rd, 4th, and 5th were also 203.4. I'm curious as to what this is.
Every time I step on a scale I feel like my weight is pretty different so I go with the lowest and call it good
I went to a yoga class for the first time in months tonight and it was so great. There's a yoga studio that does yoga in the park for free every Wednesday in the summer and it was awesome to be in the fresh air while going with the flow.
so, someone stole my body at the gym tonight. before i knew it, the timer on the treadmill went off (always set it at 60 mins) and i had jogged 4.5 miles in about 50 minutes! (always walk to start) felt soooooooooo good and i was shocked because a) i always check distance and time left a few times a run, b) my knee hurt like shit all day but not during the run, and c) i was not planning on focusing in as much as i was able. oh, and discovered i am down 10 pounds in the month since i started jogging. feeling awesome right now.
Buying a kettlebell weight today. I've used them a few times over the years but gonna go ahead and buy one so I can get some stuff done at home.
Well the bike was a failed experiment. Did 10k steps hiking in the morning and then rode 4 miles to work. Got about halfway home and I was in such unbearable pain shooting down my legs from my tailbone that I had to have someone pick me up The 15lb backpack didn't help I'm sure. But this may be a failure
Omg reading this it did not sound like a failure! I was all impressed! You did awesome! You might not have been able to finish but omg that's a lot of work and you made it farther than most ppl would!
I'm going to try a wider seat with a gel pad. And not having a heavy ass backpack. But we'll see. Maybe biking isn't for me
i learned when i started biking again three years ago that biking is NOT easy like it was when you're a kid (at least it seemed easy and always downhill and with wind as a kid for me). the problem could have been any number of things: wrong size bike, overuse of unfamiliar muscles (especially over 4 miles if you haven't biked in awhile), the heavy backpack and seat like you've said, your stance and positioning on the bike, etc. lots of things could cause you to have such pain. the fact you made it as far as you did is very impressive.
so after watching Zootopia with my parents tonight i found myself at the gym instead of going immediately home. pretty sure that means i have this down as part of my routine, which is crazy and awesome. so, i'm at the gym, it's about 10:30 pm and there are maybe three other people there. i'm on a treadmill, the entire row is empty as is the one in front of me except for the very last one (about 15 down from me). twenty minutes in, a woman around my age enters, walks to the locker room (you have to pass the treadmills to get there so she saw me once now) and then comes out and proceeds to choose the treadmill directly in front of me. i find this odd / unusual and it actually pisses me off. i tend to focus on a spot right above the treadmill screen while i'm running and kind of zone out. this "zone out spot" was now home to her spandex-wearing ass. so now it looks like i'm just staring at her ass like a creep. so i readjust my zone out spot but why did she choose the one directly in front of me? two whole rows were essentially empty. then she starts doing some wild, ridiculous running stance that reminded me of some bird or dinosaur with her ass sticking out about three feet and her head about a foot off the ground. sweet christ, what a bizarre sight. i'm sure someone would say, "she probably wanted to get your attention / get you to talk to her" but fuck that. i'm at the gym, trying to better myself and get / stay in a zone. i'm not there to meet people or talk or have you play coy bullshit. if she wanted to talk to me, then do so, don't stripper dance or some bullshit in front of me. i'm not gonna pretend to know what she meant by using the treadmill directly in front of me. and if she didn't mean anything by it, she really has to learn spacing / common courtesy, especially when the gym is as empty as it was.
I will not work out for a while and then a week or so before going to the beach this is literally me.
one negative no one talks about to eating healthier - more fucking dishes to wash. you know how many dishes pizza rolls take? 1. a plate. (put aluminum foil on the baking sheet to avoid having to wash it every time) just made chicken strips and cauliflower. i've got a pan, a pot, a fork, a strainer, a pot lid, a plate, a bowl, and two spatulas. all for one fucking meal.
Yeeeah my dishwasher has been broken for months and it sucks so much more to cook. Sometimes I see the sink full of dirty dishes and just get take out oop
Just didn't even bother counting calories for my buddy's bachelor party. I feel like death. I can't eat this much food or drink this much beer anymore. I'm officially a different person
To chime in on the bike thing, you'd be better off getting padded bike shorts than changing your seat in my opinion.
i know the feeling. there are going to be times when you get off track and you just gotta start fresh the next day!
I've been dieting the past week. I've pretty much cut calories to about 1000-1200. The scale is showing some impressive losses. 5 pounds in 6 days. It hasn't been hard after the first day and I only want to lose about 25 pounds. The hard part is i'm at my families place for the next month. They aren't on a diet and they always want me to eat more. Gets annoying. If by the end of next week i'm down atleast 5 pounds i'll lose it with joy
Anybody been trying to bulk up a little bit? I completely changed my diet about a year ago (clean/lean eating) and dropped down to 145 which made me look a little too tiny. Been weight training for the first time these past 6 months and I just weighed in at 155! Pretty happy with my progress, figured I'd share :)
Not sure what you weigh, but 1000 calories a day is pretty low. You can hinder progress by doing that.
I've been pretty sedentary so it was okay. Id eat a very light breakfast--maybe just some sort of fruit or even carbs like a waffle and fruit then I'd tough out the day until dinner. Yesterday I went on a walk just to get outside and that's when i felt the lack of energy. Other than that it's been pretty okay and I wouldn't mind keeping it up if I continue to see results on the scale and eventually in the mirror.
