Jesus Christ, by that standard I need 20 cups of water a day. No way in hell can I do 7 water bottles full. Who has that kind of time? I get 3-4 water bottles (9-12 cups) a day and even that it's hard to remember to stop in my day to do
i try to get 3-4 500ml bottles a day and it's not really about time, i mean you can do it while you're working or while watching tv or even while taking breaks when exercising. it's more about remembering to.
Every time I stop to drink in a class the room is silent and the discussion stalls. It actually is about time at my job. Haha
So you can't do it while you're done lecturing? Or do you talk for the whole hour? No, seriously, I want to know haha
I don't necessarily talk for the whole hour, but I'm always guiding and prompting the discussion when I'm not talking. Tbh my kids this year it's a LOT of me talking. You really have to drag conversation out of them. Also I'm always walking around the room, or they're just playing games on their iPads
They're not, which is why 50% of my focus is always on that instead of teaching. One of the dumbest moves to incorporate technology, imo
I used to wear rubber bands on my wrist and take one off after every bottle I had drunk. Now I don't need them.
I usually exercise 8-10 pm (work 8-4). Like most, right after work I have no energy and don't want to go to the busy gym. But later on I get a second or third wind and then the gym is empty, double bonus. If it's nice I'll run outside and sometimes will do that right after work but usually wait a bit for traffic to die down.
In the evening during the week but mornings on the weekends and when I say mornings I mean like 10am. I'm not much of a morning person and exhausting myself at night helps me sleep better. Plus the gym is pretty open which is nice.
I used to use that plant nanny app where you input how much water you drink and it'd help grow your virtual garden. It was cute. I only stopped when I lost my phone
I've now lost over 12 pounds in 4 weeks. I'm so proud of myself, and I've never been happier in my life. Hopefully less than a month away from my weight not starting with a 2 for the first time in about 4 years.
This "drinking more water" nonsense is already unpleasant. Nobody has time for all these bathroom breaks!! I think I need to work my way up cause it sucks so bad to force myself to drink water when I'm not thirsty.
It's faculty appreciation week this week, and they legit only know how to appreciate us with high calorie foods. It's going to sound really dumb to make a big deal of, but I did the math last night on what a small ice cream sundae they had for us today would be, budgeted around it and kept myself to even a little less than what I had planned. That's kind of huge for me.
Making the small changes add up nicely, and then the next thing you know you're making a huge change and there's no backlash. Dieting has all the same principles of weight lifting. Repetition of the little eventually leads to repetition of a bit more, then a bit more, then the next thing you know, everything has changed.
Fortunately I find that after a few days, my body gets used to the extra water and I don't feel the need to pee every 5 minutes!
I get annoyed with ppl who hold things up to pee a lot (hi mom and my coworker who has me sub for her in class a lot cause she has to pee!) so if I become that person idk if I can do it! I hate traveling with my stepmom cause of all the long pee stops lol
Exercised for the first time in god knows how long. Basically a 1.5 mile walk with <5 minutes of jogging interspersed. I'm so goddamn out of shape.
We are off camping this weekend and apparently we are going on a 12 mile hike, up the tallest mountain in England.... Yay... Not. Pray for me
