Let's just say the only reason they weren't awful was cause you couldn't hear Daryl sing. If you had heard him sing, they would have been awful. I'm a Head Automatica fan and they were probably one of the worst bands I've ever seen and I've had to sit through a lot of sets of bands I've never heard of that are not my kind of music over the years.
EP. 260 - Daryl Palumbo (Glassjaw / Head Automatica) Giving it a listen later if I manage to find time and coming back with some tea... if he spills anything!
I’m probably going to get shit for this, but it took me 17 years to find out that Gerard Way does backing vocals on Graduation Day. I’m ashamed of myself
only found that out last month myself, but tbf only heard the song for the first time like a few days beforehand lol
I'm listening to the Sappenin' Podcast and Daryl says he's working on new Head Automatica material and was planning on tracking some stuff in LA next month (from the moment the podcast was recorded). It's self produced so far. As for Glassjaw, no plans yet but there's always ideas floating around between him and Justin.
i prefer the second to the first, i revisit it more. howie B produced the hell out of that album it still sounds so good after all these years!
Decadance is superior but Popaganda is great, it's just way too repetitive, almost every single chorus is just repeating the song title
It’s “Decadance” any day of the week for me. The combo of Dan The Automator’s beats and Daryl’s voice is what sold it for me and then they also had some great rock tunes too. “Popaganda” was clearly Daryl’s stab at making a ‘70s pop-rock album and it was fine. I think “Graduation Day” in particular really stinks.
