Yea, well the initial emails about delays and then the new one about the Canary variant is by the "Armada merch team on behalf of Holy Mountain Pressing". Then the AI response email is signed off as "Holy Mountain Printing Customer Support Agent"
Armada handles the distribution, Holy Mountain handles the manufacturing. Armada is a big company and handles merch for a lot of different artists.
I just checked the subreddit and apparently this is even more of a shitshow than originally thought? At least some people who ordered the Solid State Serpent Sickness pressing ended up getting Canary Yellow, and it's possible the "Mushroom" variant they're offering to us now might be a renamed Serpent Sickness pressing? And the designs didn't come out how they initially wanted, which I feel like that almost always happens with vinyl variants so I can't blame that overly harsh on them. But geez.
yeah I got the canary, and then got the mushroom/serpent (looks like mushroom, support swears it's serpent sickness) after sending it back. FWIW I really didn't like how the canary turned out so the mushroom is at least a little better despite looking nothing like any of the mocks for it. Here's how the canary actually looked when I got it, and here's how the 'Serpent' looks.
Ah yea looks like the Canary lost that inner orange section from the initial pic. I think I still like it more than the Mushroom one lol but sigh it is what it is I guess
Yep, cancelled mine. Fortunately, I ordered the swamp green one too. The mushroom one is beyond ugly.
