I'm liking this album much more than Few which was mostly a snoozefest for me. Feels like it touches stuff from all over their discography.

This! The melodies and guitar leads are so I Am Hollywood/Suck Out The Poison-y on this one, clearly a standout

Also just noticed the bottom left corner of the cover has "wrinkled skin." Such a delightfuly creepy touch

 

I really like the new album.

I was really into I Am Hollywood and even though I checked out all of the albums that followed, nothing grabbed me like IAH did. So it is really cool to see everyone's thoughts on the rest of the catalog. It made me revisit their discography again. I like everything even more, there wasn't anything I disliked but I appreciate it all more now.

Y'all, holy shit, this might be their best album. It's such a perfect amalgam of the different sounds/vibes they've dabbled in throughout their evolution over the years. I think it's their best sounding album, as well. Really hope this album helps them achieve the level of success they deserve.

 

It’s already pretty high up there for me. It Hates You will always be my absolute favorite but with more listens - this might land #2 or #3 on the rankings for me.

Fingers crossed they do a west coast headlining tour this year!

 

Production-wise; this is their best sounding record. Also Matt Goldman recording drums is a must for these guys moving forward on future records. Jesse sounds like a beast on White Bat.

 

i’m a little surprised it took them so long to work with him considering both of their connection with T&N/SolidState.

 

man the chorus on Bent is so infectious. Schuylar Croom, more like Schuylar Croon amirite

Lol the phrasing of the verses of The Interloper reminds me so much of And The Snakes Start to Sing

 

Agreed, best sounding record in a while. Digging this way more than the last 2 records.

 

This is so so good. As others have pointed out, Schuylar is killer on this.

 

I get some Poison the Well vibes on the outtro of Interloper.

I miss that band.

 

Bent is unlike anything

 

Decided last minute to go see He Ie Legend tonight despite getting out of work really late and a severe thunderstorm.

Great decision!

It was a fun show and the new stuff sounds great.

Not necessarily in that order but generally. One song seems egregiously absent, but I think that was because of technical issues since they got delayed a bit?
