Heavy Fruit is a strong number 2 behind It Hates You for me. From the sound of it, this has a chance of dethroning it though.
I never thought It Hates You could be topped but Heavy Fruit is easily my #1. Few did next to nothing for me
The only song I’m not in love with on Few is Fritz the Dog but it’s still fun. Beaufort, Silent Gold, Jordan, Eastern Locust, The Vampyre, and The Garden are all incredible.
Haha it’s not one I skip or anything it just doesn’t do it for me quite as much as the others. I love how much fun Schuylar seems to be having with that character though.
I'm obsessed with Bent. It has to become a fan favorite because that chorus is one of the most infectious things they've ever written.
New album is great. It’s everything these guys do well. The vocals and hooks are the best they’ve ever been. And of course the guitars are menacingly rifftastic.
This could have been the only morning I didn't need to drink coffee - What a listen. First impressions: 1. The vocal melodies haven't been this strong in a long time. 2. The new "ish" drummer's groove/fills/feel for the songs is incredible. I don't think there has been a better HIL album in regards to the drumming. 3. The guitars have elements of all HIL albums - needless to say, amazing. 4. All of the songs keep you guessing and mix up the arrangement nicely so it doesn't get boring. 5. After the first listen, this could end up being at the top of HIL's discography. Super impressed with this so far! What an underrated band - I always ask myself why they are so unheard of/don't get the attention they deserve?
this! earlier on (around the time they kind of re-emerged with It Hates You and then moving forward from there) i thought the lack of buzz had to do with their introduction to the scene being on solid state records. they made such a splash in the young christian alternative rock world with I Am Hollywood and then confused the hell out of everyone when Suck Out The Poison was such a departure from that sound. i think a lot of people wrote them off after that or lumped them in with other acts from solid state/tooth and nail. but now at this point?! they have had plenty of time to distance themselves from any of that and establish what He Is Legend is. i feel like ive been confused and share this sentiment after every subsequent album release.
Yeah I really like this album. Sounds like the sounds and maturity of their later releases mixed with the FUN of I Am Hollywood
That's a cool way to put it, I didn't think of that but I don't disagree Although few has some fun stuff on it too but yea I'd say this puts a bit more even
Definitely and I even like “Burn All Your Rock Records” more now even though I think it should have been a b-side.
Burn All Your Rock Records grew on me, first listen as a single and the chorus just threw me off too much lol. But now it's great.
