this is such perfect timing cause they will be playing in my town next week on the emery badchristian road show thing
I have never been able to get into It Hates You...loved the first two records, and the last two have been excellent. But I still can't make it through It Hates You in one sitting... New song is incredible.
I hope one day the record clicks with you. It's amazing as hell and it did take me a few years to come to appreciate it so I get it.
Also no lie I've been getting into Suck Out the Poison more lately. His cleans are rough but it was the first album that they really went for that dirty southern metal and his uncleans are great still on it
when i first got my new car a few months back, i decided to put suck out the poison in the cd player and i listened to it pretty regularly for quite some time and it rips. i used to be so indifferent on it but its just so raw and gritty and some songs hit so hard
Good to hear. i still try it out from time to time (like yesterday) so hopefully one of these days I get it because man, I really love all the other records.
My ranking: IAH > SOTP > Few > HF > IHY/90215 I remember buying Suck Out the Poison day 1 at Best Buy and racing home to listen. The change in Schuylar's voice made me think it was a new singer at first. Was disappointed at first, but man it grew on me a ton.
I thought that would be your listing of IHY > SOTP > HF > Few > IAH I am just a huge sucker for The Creature Walks and ....Best In Mexico THEY ARE SO GOOD.
i am hollywood also has a ridiculous nostalgia factor for me. i remember getting that album for christmas the year it came out and being like floored by it
I originally listed HF above SOTP but I was like nope he fucking LOVES SOTP. Been on a huge HIL binge since 7 am so I am listening to SOTP next.
IHY > HF > SotP > IAH > Few It Hates You is my favorite rock record of the 2000s. Also, I celebrate this band’s discography to such a degree that even my least favorite, Few, is probably an 8/10. Oh yeah, and the new song is fucking incredible.
HF > Few > IHY > SotP > IAH > 90215 That's canon, my dudes. I agree about how good all the albums are though. It's not like I don't obsessively love IAH and 90215.
Same for me. I remember reading a review on a Christian review site and they gave it like a 10/10 or something and being like "I need this!"
