the other thing i think about is that most listeners probably wouldn't have first heard it on Hayley's website. so if they do a physical release, this is probably the configuration they'll be most familiar with.

I honestly love the unconventional approach. It feels like every song is meant to be heard as its own thing. Every track does have its own vibe, which is maybe why Hayley did this, since she probably loved all the songs, but didn't know want to put them out as a cohesive record. Could be premature that she eventually plans to do it. But I love the approach, and all the songs are great and catchy as hell. Brotherly Hate is stuck in my head right now, fucking love it.

I added the tracklisting to a playlist that starts with Ice In My OJ and will never think about listening to it differently unless a physical copy is different.

Also I don't know who Daniel James is, but he absolutely went off because this is one of the best *sounding* albums I've ever heard. Her last two were incredible as well.

his work under the Canon Blue moniker was pretty solid

I like the rollout too. It's different and definitely has people talking about it, so i consider that a win. They're also all like 3-minute single type songs, so it kind of fits the approach.

Have fun with it, people. Post your favorite, custom tracklist!

Without a doubt my album of the year (ya I know it’s not an “album in the conventional sense). Been obsessed with these songssssss.

Also avoid the Paramore Reddit if you hate parasocial relationships… some real unhinged posts there lol

I wish we had a version of "Glum" without the pitch shifted vocals. It's such a relief when her actual voice comes in, and the acoustic video on her website feels like a tease at what the verses could've been haha.

100% agree, the sequencing works so much better for me. Dream Girl being in the back half and the final two songs being Disappearing Man into I Won’t Quit on you feels right

we missed the trees glow gold beneath.

3 listens deep (w the website order)

this is my favorite stuff she's done musically since brand new eyes. i like/love the last 3 paramore records but these songs are so so so good. (i also need to relisten to her other two solo records)

I just started the streaming order for the first time and my suspicion about "Dream Girl In Shibuya" and "Glum" not working as well in the beginning portion feels true so far. "Kill Me" works about as well at #3 as it did as an opener, but I think that's probably because it's such a good song it would work in any slot.

    Someday I’ll find me Prestigious

First time through this, only on True Believer (website order), and I already love it.

It’s so difficult for me to get uninterrupted time these days to enjoy much of anything of my own personal leisure.

The unexpected perk of this not being an “album” is that as soon as my daughter walked up to ask me a question at the end of True Believer, I was less bothered to take off the headphones (I really try to sit down with an album for the first time and listen to it straight through). I know this sounds silly, and my kids have permission to interrupt me at all times for anything they want, need, even if it’s just attention. That comes at the expense of my own things, and that’s okay.

Anyway, onto the rest of this. Even if it takes me the rest of the day to get through it.

I added the songs to playlist without too much thought and just realized they’re in alphabetical order, so I think this is actually the correct order

  24. Website order biblically accurate

  25. The website was built to move around the songs on purpose I don't think it really was ever an "order." That everything else is this way:

Makes me think that's on purpose.
