I'm a little confused. I get that it would be awkward for Zac to directly address his brother's homophobia but why reference that particular statement instead?
This confused me so much too. Maybe it is something the rest of Paramore understands but not the public?
I spent a long time hoping Josh would someday manage to patch things up with the band and rejoin as a writing member, only because I miss his compositional contributions. But, uh, fuck that and fuck him. No platforming homophobes.
Obv i could be 5000% wrong but it felt like this statement was directly responding to some comments that probably conflated Josh's present day awfulness with what happened when they originally left Paramore so Zac felt compelled to speak on that
Im all for being religious if you want but it sounds like its controlling Joshs life, holy shit. Enough Bible references, think for yourself a bit man. (I get it, some people would be like HEY!" But.... Meh.. Its how I feel.)
Pretty sure it’s just a dog whistle to dissociate himself with the Bible verses and anything “god” related (which were included in the letter) - and his brother and general. It seems dumb to act like he didn’t put his stamp on the letter, but do what you have to do I guess.
