JB Hi Fi were playing Paramore's self-titled album over the PA when I went into the store today, but had no copies of her solo album. Irony is a cruel mistress.
It finally arrived today! I’m so glad to have this. Remodeling a room in our house, and the goal is to have my record collection in there. Will be framing this to show off!
weren’t there like 25 grandat signatures? I just got mine and I swear all of them went to this thread
Haha was just thinking that last night. Whoever posted the link here really did us all a favor cus at least 5 are accounted for here.
Told my Google Home to play Crystal Clear and now it's been autoplaying to some really dope female artists I've never heard of I definitely recommend Poema and Your Smith
Your Smith is amazing. check her work as Caroline Smith if you haven’t. Half About Being a Woman is a great album, that closer is just so goood
yes. you can also check out her audiotree version of that song because it’s also great. no problem. i haven’t heard of Poema so i’ll check that out
Yeah the song I heard from Poema is called Forget You in LA and I really dig it I guess they were signed to Tooth and Nail until they decided to go indie in 2014
I remember Poema from back in the day, lol. They had an EP on Tooth & Nail that gave me sorta Taylor Swift vibes at the time, & then a holiday EP that was produced by Aaron Marsh & featured him on one of the songs. Never cared to keep up w/ ‘em beyond that, but the holiday EP is always in my Christmas playlist, along w/ a couple of the songs on that first EP.
within a few hours of adding the test pressing to my Discogs I got a message from a Hayley Williams fan from Brazil haha
Ha, funny to hear Poema mentioned. They're not making music together anymore. One sister is a touring guitarist and has played quite a bit for Maggie Rogers (and before that, Eisley). The other is a watercolour artist who does incredible floral paintings, one of which we have on our wall.
What an interesting career having to work with Aaron Marsh, Eisley and Maggie on the way! ;D I'll check them out!
Hope it's ok to throw this on here. Just covered Dead Horse for a competition to win a $1000 gift card, which I wouldn't mind as a self-employed person out of work because of Covid! Basically just made it melancholic.
I usually listen to the album as a whole and rarely pay attention which song is which - but there's always a part that comes on and I'm like "this. this is my vibe" and I just went to to the end of "Why We Ever" to see if you were talking about the same part and yepp! So good. I just love that kind of feel
